I hope the firefighter learns to be easier on himself. It's not his fault and he tried to help everyone he could. Yes, some people were forced to be left behind but he waited until literally the last moment. He wasn't able to do anything else without it being futile and it would cost him his life besides. I don't blame him for feeling that way (I think anyone with a soul would) but it's not like he was all, "Bye Felicia" and commandeered a firetruck and sped away without trying to do his job. He was able to help after the tsunami with his knowledge of first aid and all that because he survived. The people he encountered may not have had that knowledge otherwise. I think he should try and remember that he saved more than he "left behind," even though that may be a sorry comfort.

Not a fan of Tim Reynolds - ruined the sound and ethos of the band.

In my opinion this song very much is an expression of things beginning and sadly it will find an end. When Jeff plays his solo it takes me on a trip...a trip to remind me that life is short...and we all, we all must enjoy the moments we have. Hug one another, love one another and express how you feel from the bottom of your heart, while you might only have one chance. A good man told me.... for "life is short but sweet for certain."
